CARPE DIEM – Before The Slogan

Before Dead Poets Society turned “Carpe Diem – Seize the Day” into motivational shorthand, the words were already finding their way onto T-shirts. This single-stitch example appears to come from that earlier period – when the phrase still belonged more to Latin classrooms and literature than mugs, tattoos and inspirational posters.
