Eyes of Buddha – Nepal

The staring eyes are one of Nepal’s most recognizable Buddhist images, famously painted onto stupas such as Boudhanath. Between them sits the urna, while the curling mark below is a stylized Nepali numeral 1, traditionally read as a symbol of unity.
