THE SISTERS OF MERCY – Vision Thing Era

Unlike most rock bands of their era, The Sisters of Mercy stopped using a human ddrummer and replaced them with a drum machine they simply called Doktor Avalanche. The relentless mechanical rhythm became part of the bands identity, giving their music the cold, hypnotic pulse that helped define gothic rock throughout the late 1980s.
